The Beginning

The humble roots of Idryonis Studios dates back to 2000 when a newly assembled, yet unnamed, team of artists and programmers entered a programming contest for Math Engine. The end result was an entertaining and compelling game called DizzyBall. Winning the grand prize and gaining some modest Internet fame was all the crew needed to try their hands at something bigger and better.

Gaining Momentum

Two of the founding members, Roger Frederick and Chris Potako took lead, officially incorporated their new company, and immediately spearheaded a lofty campaign with the remaining programmers and artists to develop a game based in the world of 'Cyberfuge', a game concept and storyline Roger had been developing for years. This effort is passionately chronicled across the Internet by eager new fans awaiting their chance to play. In 2003, Kevin Stahl, longtime friend of Chris, joined the team just as Idryonis was invited to showcase their work at the Game Developers Conference alongside GarageGames.

Their astounding artistic quality and technical prowess became glaringly apparent not only to fans, but to industry representatives. Internet buzz soon erupted with rumors that the much anticipated Cyberfuge game would be put on hold for another project.

First Big Check Break

Idryonis was hired for it's first commissioned game. The specifications called for a monster truck racing game to be played inside an amusement park motion simulator ride. The ride would feature custom hardware controls, synchronized 360-degree motion, and a 3-month delivery deadline. The niaive team took the job, and four years later Monster Roll Cage rides are still being installed in amusement parks around the globe. The work of Idryonis is now featured as premier attractions at many amusement parks that operate them..

Finding our Place

The team had more than a game to show for their efforts. The frenzied experience offered a crash course in business administration, accounting, client relations, and project management. Realizing their potential, Kevin, Chris, and Roger decided to alter the course of the business. For decades the three slightly obsessive company directors held great contempt for inferior production value that is given to most low and middle-budget multimedia projects. Along with their abilities and experience, they now had the confidence and organization to offer their services to others.

Idryonis began targeting their interactive offerings to the marketing, education, and entertainment industries. From those endeavors, Idryonis began doing serious work for companies all over the US. Project after project started piling up - sometimes 4 at a time - and each project larger and more important than the last. Amazingly, the small development teams were undaunted and every project was resulting in astounding success.
